ABLE Clothing: Shopify Migration and Store Redesign
ABLE Clothing is a women-led fashion brand that sells online. ZaphyrX handled its Shopify migration and redesign: we moved the catalog to Shopify, rebuilt the storefront around how its customers browse and buy, and set up redirects to protect search visibility during the move.

The challenge
ABLE Clothing needed two projects delivered as one: a move to Shopify and a redesign of its online store. Combining them saves time, but it raises the stakes. Product data has to arrive intact, rankings tied to the old URLs have to carry over, and returning customers should never land on a broken page.
Fashion also sets a high bar for the shopping experience. Shoppers want to see fabric, fit and color clearly, choose a size with confidence and check out quickly on a phone. The redesign had to make each of those steps easier, because every bit of friction between a product page and checkout costs sales.
How we approached it
Discovery before design
We started with the brand, its customers and its existing store. We reviewed how the catalog was organized, which pages earned search traffic and the paths shoppers took to checkout, then agreed on priorities with the ABLE team before any design work began. Every later decision traced back to those priorities.
Navigation shoppers understand
We planned collections, menus and filters around how people browse a fashion store, so finding the right category, size and color takes as few taps as possible. Good information architecture is what makes a growing catalog feel easy to shop instead of overwhelming.
A design system for the brand
Our UI/UX design work produced a design system covering typography, color, buttons, product cards and page templates. It keeps every page consistent with ABLE’s identity and makes new collections quick to launch. Product pages put imagery, size and color options and the add-to-cart button where mobile shoppers expect them.
Shopify build
Our Shopify development work turned the new design into a working theme, with product templates for variants such as size and color. We kept the app stack lean, because every extra app adds page weight and one more thing to maintain.
Catalog migration
We migrated products, variants, images, descriptions and collections to Shopify, then checked them against the old store so prices, options and inventory settings matched before launch. A clean import prevents a long tail of fixes after go-live.
Redirects that protect SEO
We mapped old URLs to their new Shopify equivalents with 301 redirects and carried over page titles, meta descriptions and image alt text. That way, links customers saved and pages search engines had indexed still lead somewhere useful after the move.
Payments, shipping and taxes
We configured payments, shipping rates and tax settings in Shopify, then placed test orders on desktop and mobile so checkout worked correctly from the first day the new store went live.
QA, launch and training
Before launch we tested pages, forms, redirects and checkout across devices and browsers. After go-live we trained the ABLE team to manage products, collections and content in Shopify, and we stayed on hand for post-launch support.

What the new store gives them
ABLE Clothing now sells through a redesigned Shopify store built around how its customers shop, and the redesign boosted conversions. Shoppers get clear navigation, consistent pages and product pages designed for the phone in their hand.
The team gets a platform it can run day to day: adding products, updating collections and publishing pages from the Shopify admin, with a design system that keeps everything on-brand. And because old URLs redirect to their new pages, links customers saved and pages search engines indexed still point to the right place.
